MAKING YOUR VERY OWN
LIMONCELLO
A "HANDS ON" CLASS
Hosted by
LINDA AND GABE PASCARELLA
On December 7, 2008, our members had a wonderful time, each making more than a half- gallon of their very own Limoncello.
The event was held at Vinny's New York Pizza & Grill in Duluth where we had a light lunch of pizza, salad and wine.
Gabe and Linda Pascarella’s slide and film presentation included a brief history of Italy's Amalfi Coast, its lemons and Limoncello, along with some interesting personal stories of their Campania travels.
Then the main event -- actually making our own Limoncello. Everything needed was included: lemons, grain alcohol, storage jars, peelers and other items, along with recipes and detailed instructions. All to take home!
We not only had a live demonstration of how to make Limoncello, but then we did it ourselves, and also learned how to finish it off at home. And as a special treat, before we left, we were all treated to some of Gabe’s own homemade Limoncello!
It was a great way to spend a couple of hours with other members on a Sunday afternoon.
