Approximately 100 members and guests attended the annual Picnic and a great time was had by all.  It was a picture perfect day.  The sun was shinning, the humidity low and there was a gentle breeze.

The activities were kicked-off with Mass celebrated by Father Joe Aquino.  After Mass everyone helped themselves at the buffet table which offered a variety of Italian and American foods including freshly made Italian sausage with peppers and onions.

After lunch, there was a bocce tournament and a Texas Hold-em going on simultaneously.  Those who did not participate in the games were busy chatting with old friends and making new ones.

The winners of the Bocce Tournament were:  First Place – Frank Chellemi and Ron DeRosa;  Second Place – Marilyn and Bernie Santa Maria;  Third Place – Gus Giometti and a Rich Jacobs (guest of John and Judy Cahill).

The big winner in Texas Hold-em was Rockie DeBenedetto (George DeBenedetto’s nephew from Baton Rouge).  Catherine Russo-Alesi came in second.

Many thanks go to Ron and Laurie DeRosa for hosting the picnic at the River Club and chairing the event.  They did a super job.
